Important Work: 1st Surveyed Lachlan River. Forced to turn back due to shortage of supplies.

2nd Followed Macquarie River to its end. Turned east crossing the Great Dividing Range passing Apsley Falls “one of the most magnificent waterfalls we have seen.” Reached Hastings river following it to it mouth, named Port Macquarie.

3rd Traveled to Port Curtis and discovered Tweed River. Successfully surveyed and plotted the river discovering volcanic rock and Turtle Island near the end of the expedition.
